Why do you still 'play' as an adult?
Ever since i started playing kendama in eighth grade, i haven't been able to stop doing something with my hands during my free time. i started doing cardistry in 2017 and probably every movie or class or flight or long drive i've taken since then has been a cardistry sesh. in 2019/20 i started really focusing on string tricks and weird knots in kendama, which led to me getting my first yoyo from Aliyah Tan, who taught me some basics! after the steep learning curve of learning to throw and bind and wind it up consistently, yoyo was everything i had ever wanted in terms of giving myself arthritis and geeking out about knots and flow.
Describe your overall style.
tech. in kendama, the style of tricks that always caught my attention were those with small unique movements, and even in cardistry the equivalent of tech tricks, packet cuts, is always my main focus (i can't spread or fan or spring lol). i think these really carried into my yoyoing and created my current style where i prefer weird dense knots, and i'm always fascinated by how many unique movements can be made in yoyo.
