Why do you still 'play' as an adult?

The reason I will never stop yoyoing is because it ties me to my favorite community on this planet. Growing up I was incredibly antisocial and didn’t know how to make friends. Now, almost 10 years into yoyoing I have grown into an incredibly social person who loves meeting new people and being out and about. I want to make the most of my time on this planet and yoyoing has given me a path to do that. I have met the best friends of my entire life and had the most unique experiences all thanks to this little toy that I love so much.

Describe your overall style.

My entire style in yoyoing and fashion come from the idea that I live my life by - Just Have Fun. My entire trick set is made up of tricks and elements that feel good, and are fun to do for myself, I’m never too worried about the meta and prefer the fun elements. When it comes to fashion I always want to have the loudest outfit in the room, wether thats a Hawaiian shirt with a wild print or T-shirt with a crazy graphic on it. I feel most comfortable when I’m putting myself out there or taking a bit of a risk with my clothing choices.

I’m lucky enough to be able to perform yoyo full time for a living while teaching and spreading the love of this toy that helped me find my own joy in life. I just hope to be able help others find this love and joy that I have been able to find through yoyoing. 

Music choice:

As you can see by my introductory video to NFK, I’m a huge fan of G-Eazy, but all rap in general. Growing up in Detroit I was surrounded by rap heads and gained my love for it through that but the nice part of Detroit is the diverse taste in music. While my main love in music is rap, I also have a huge appreciation/love for RnB, Soul Music, and all sorts of genre’s. The most important thing to me about music is being able to feel it and tell that the artist put their heart and soul into it. If it checks those boxes I will most like enjoy it.
